World Series Prediction: Cardinals/Rangers

A World Series matchup between the Cardinals and Rangers is probably one that very few people predicted entering the 2011 postseason. But, it's also a series that figures to have some intriguing twists and turns. How will it shake out? Let's take a look at who we have winning it all in this year's Fall Classic.

Rangers (6 Games)

Some teams are able to hammer their way through the postseason on the strength of a tremendous lineup. Although Texas has received help from their pitching, it's really been all about the offense this October. Expect that type of offensive production to continue against St. Louis.

Chris Carpenter will give the Cardinals their moments and he matches up well against the top of the Rangers' rotation very well, but ultimately the length of the Texas lineup will prevail. It won't be an easy series and there will likely be an abundance of runs put on the board. But, in a battle of strong lineups it will be the Rangers coming out on top.
