Toledo and Charlotte picked up last night’s suspended game in the eighth inning. The game went to 14 innings, where Jose Ortega gave up a game-winning double. Over the two parts of the game, Brad Eldred went 2-for-6 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored. Justin Henry went 2-for-4 with a double, three walks and a run scored.

In the second game of the day, Thad Weber gave up two earned runs over seven innings and left in line for the win. But in the bottom of the ninth, Chris Bootcheck gave up four earned runs and lost the game. He only gave up two hits, but walked five batters. Brad Eldred went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Ramon Garcia gave up four hits over five scoreless innings to pick up his first win of the season. Garcia walked one and struck out four. The middle relief struggled, as Jared Gayhart gave up three earned runs in 1/3 of an inning and Zach Samuels gave up two earned runs in 1 2/3 innings. But Michael Morrison pitched two shutout innings to pick up the save. Brandon Douglas went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. John Murrian went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

Kevin Eichhorn gave up five runs (four earned) over five innings to record the loss. Hernan Perez went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, but no other Flying Tiger had multiple hits. Tyler Collins went 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

West Michigan pitchers didn’t give an earned run, but the offense only managed three hits. Thomas Collier gave up three hits over six scoreless innings, but Warwick Saupold gave up two unearned runs in the seven to pick up the loss. Jeff Holm went 2-for-3, while Dean Green went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
