20-15, 2nd in West Division

In the first game of the doubleheader, Adam Wilk gave up a two-RBI walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to lose the game. Heading into the seventh, Wilk had only given up one earned run on three hits, but gave up three hits in the seventh and picked up the loss. Former Tiger Jair Jurrjens gave up two earned runs over seven innings for Gwinnett. Justin Henry went 2-for-4 with both RBIs for Toledo.

In the second game, Brooks Brown gave up five runs (four earned) over 4 1/3 innings, picking up the loss. Brown gave up five hits and walked five. Justin Henry went 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Brad Eldred went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Rob Waite threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.

16-17, T-3rd in Eastern Division

Corey Jones went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBIs to lead Erie at the plate. Jared Wesson got the start and gave up two earned runs over 3 2/3 innings. Mark Sorensen gave up one hit over 3 1/3 scoreless innings and picked up the win. Jordan Lennerton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Ben Guez went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, two walks and four runs scored.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
17-16, 3rd in North Division

Shawn Teufel gave up four earned runs over four innings to drop to 1-3 on the season. All four runs came in the second inning. Tyler Collins and Avisail Garcia each went 2-for-4 with a solo home run for Lakeland’s only runs of the day. Nick Castellanos went 1-for-4. Tyler White gave up two runs over 2 2/3 innings of relief, while Ryan Woolley gave up one earned run in the fian 2 1/3 innings.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
16-18, 5th in Eastern Division

Brandon Loy hit a two-RBI triple to cap a three-run eighth inning as West Michigan pulled away late for a victory. Brennan Smith got the start and gave up two earned runs over seven innings, but left with the score tied at two. He allowed just three hits and struck out six. Aaron Westlake went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. In his return from the DL, Steven Moya went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
