Cuban outfielder Jorge Soler has officially hit the market.
According to sources close to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, was unblocked by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, allowing him to become a free agent.
The 20-year-old right fielder, standing at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, has already been heavily pursued by the Chicago Cubs, among other teams. The Cubs are considered to be the favorite to sign Soler.
Soler will likely be added to a roster before the new collective bargaining agreement places new restrictions on signing international players, beginning on July 2.
Other teams in the hunt for Soler's services include the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros, New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies.
