Felix doubled in his only at-bat

Guasave catcher Jose Felix entered Thursday's game as a pinch hitter, and he doubled in his only plate appearance. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action in the Texas Rangers' system.

Dominican Winter League


There were no games in the Dominican Republic on Thursday.



Venezuelan Winter League


Pitching for the second time in as many days, reliever Ben Rowen went six up, six down in two perfect innings for Caracas. The sidearming righty induced three groundouts and three flyouts.

Facing Rowen's Caracas club, Magallanes shortstop Elvis Andrus was 1-for-5 with an RBI. He struck out once.

Third baseman Yangervis Solarte singled once in four trips for Aragua.

Lara's Guilder Rodriguez appeared as a late-inning defensive replacement at second base but didn't get a plate appearance.



Mexican Pacific League


Guasave's Jose Felix doubled as a ninth-inning pinch-hitter on Thursday. The two-bagger was his eighth of the winterball campaign.



Puerto Rican Winter League


Jared Hoying manned center field and batted leadoff for Ponce on Thursday, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout and his second fielding error. Catcher Kevin Torres batted ninth and whiffed in of his plate appearances.

Zach Zaneski finished the game behind the place for Ponce, though he didn't have an at-bat.



Australian Baseball League


Brisbane's Hirotoshi Onaka singled once in four official at-bats, striking out twice. He also laid down a sacrifice bunt.
